Broadband: Superfast for all by 2020

The County Council has pledged to make sure that every single home in Gloucestershire has access to super-fast broadband by 2020 at the latest with almost £30 million invested already.

Communities: Supporting Local Gloucester Projects

There are many exciting local projects in Gloucester, including the Redwell Centre, Roots Cafe, the Barnwood Trust, the Friendship Cafe and more. I've worked to support these through funding bids and promoting their great work.

Education and Skills: Funding, Apprentices and Grammars

We’re spending more on schools than ever before and I'm working on getting more local pupils at our grammar schools and children from disadvantaged backgrounds too. Technical education is also important with over 9000 new apprentices in Gloucester since 2005.

Environment and Animal Welfare

From ivory to recycling, bees to renewables, there is plenty going on to support our animals and environment and I'm involved in several campaigns to help improve welfare and protect the planet.

Health: Funding, GPs and Nurses

There are new nursing assistants apprenticeships and more nursing degrees, new technology, more funding for hospitals and changes in nursing pay too. Find out more about health, social care and the NHS.

Homelessness and Rough Sleeping

What is happening in Gloucester to help people who are rough sleeping and homeless? There are local and national projects including a Social Impact Bond for P3 and the George Whitfield Centre.
