After a case of spiking raised by his constituent, Maisie Farmer, Richard laid a Ten Minute Rule Bill that seeks to make the act or intent to spike a specific and individual criminal offence.
The Spiking (Offence) Bill was heard on Wednesday 26th January 2022. Richard withdrew the second reading after the Home Secretary agreed to look into making spiking an individual offence with a report due back by Autumn 2022.
