During nation restrictions there is support in place for employees unable to work
The furlough scheme will be extended until December.
The furlough scheme has been extended until the end of November meaning employees can be paid up to 80% of their wages. The flexibility of the current scheme will be continued to allow employees to continue to work where they can.
Employers small or large, charitable or non-profit are eligible and because more businesses will need to close, they will now be asked to pay just National Insurance and Pensions contributions for their staff during the month of November.
Support for clinically extremely vulnerable
If you are considered clinically extremely vulnerable it is advised you work from home. If you cannot work from home, you are advised not to go to work and may be eligible for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) or Employment Support Allowance (ESA).
