Self-Employed Support

The Chancellor has announced additional support for the self-employed

The government will pay self-employed people, who have been adversely affected by the Coronavirus, a taxable grant worth 80% of their average monthly profits over the last three years, up to £2,500 a month. Details on the scheme have been published and there are FAQs avaliable.

To scheme is avaliable to:

  • anyone with income up to £50,000.

  • people who make the majority of their income from self-employment

  • those who are already in self-employment and who have a tax return for 2019 (there is a one month extension to put your tax return in)
