The Chancellor has announced additional support for the self-employed
The government will pay self-employed people, who have been adversely affected by the Coronavirus, a taxable grant worth 80% of their average monthly profits over the last three years, up to £2,500 a month. The scheme has re-opened for a second round of applications and details can be found on the gov.uk website.
To scheme is avaliable to:
anyone with income up to £50,000.
people who make the majority of their income from self-employment
those who are already in self-employment and who have a tax return for 2019 (there is a one month extension to put your tax return in)
