Job Title: Caseworker
Hours: 40 Hours a week (9am-5:30pm or equivalent)

Salary: In line with IPSA pay scales (£21,529 - £34,599)
Length of contract: Permanent
Richard Graham MP is looking for a full-time caseworker to join his busy constituency office in Gloucester.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work with MP, and all colleagues to help people in Gloucester facing difficulties
- Be responsible for handling casework, logging all casework correspondence on to online casework system
- Research individual casework with relevant internal and external partners and gather information in order to recommend how to resolve cases
- Proactively engage with constituents and stakeholders with face-to-face, telephone and written correspondence
- Monitor the progress of cases and completing required action points
- Organise constituency surgeries and attend these with Richard
- Recognise and analysing patterns and trends in casework
- Retain constituent records in line with General Data Protection Regulations

- Strong team work
- High levels of communication skills – both written and verbal
- Engaging with high profile stakeholders
- Drafting complex written correspondence
- Working fast and efficiently to respond to individual cases
- Building good working relationships with all partners
- Working flexibly in a busy team – including some evening work
- Learning about laws and rules relating to casework
- And above all, sympathetic and resilient, with a good sense of humour
Desirable skills:
- Adaptable personality, interested in Gloucester and keen to learn more
- Knowledge of Gloucester and social environment
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- A full driving licence with access to own vehicle (optional)
The successful candidate will clear Parliamentary Security requirements, be experienced in using Microsoft Office, be able to manage their time efficiently and effectively, have a flexible approach to working and be proud of working to improve our city.
Things to consider:
Flexibility as the office deals with a wide variety of issues, which don’t always happen in office hours - You may be asked to work the occasional evening or Saturday. Time off in lieu will always be given.
