Communities: Supporting Local Gloucester Projects

Today I joined Gloucester's Walking Rugby team at the Longlevens RFC. Big thanks to Gloucester Rugby's Community Coaches and Nicole Talbot (Premiership Rugby's Volunteer of the Year) who chatted to me about Walking Rugby - another great initiative from Kingsholm!

Chit Chat is held at St James' Church in Quedgeley every Thursday morning from 10:00am - 12noon. I think it's the sort of thing we could benefit from by having it all over the city.

Gloucester MP has urged local residents to join him at the Pudsey Fun Run in Kingsway on Saturday for Children in Need.

Gloucester MP Richard Graham has presented Gloucestershire County Council’s Head of Archives Heather Forbes with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the prestigious All Party Parliamentary Group on Archives and History.

Richard Graham MP said the award of a prestigious RIBA National Award for Glen Howells Architects’ designs at Gloucester Services was yet another feather in the cap for the best services in the country. The award recognises the building as a significant contribution to architecture.

Richard Graham MP congratulated the Spice House restaurant from Barnwood Road, Gloucester for being Highly Commended in the prestigious Parliamentary Tiffin Cup competition. “They follow Aroma and The Hill Top restaurant in achieving this level,” said Richard, “three great restaurants.”

Gloucester MP Richard Graham is pleased that a constituent’s complaint about the state of the bridge in Tredworth cemetery has resulted in the City Council improving things.
