Cotswold Breast Cancer
This Ciren based group is the recently formed Cotswolds branch of a national body which raises funds for breast cancer research. It was inspired by Eira Hooper in Gloucester St after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and has aroused lots of interest and support in a short space of time.
I like the fact that this is, like CHYP, a local group - and a great source of nearby help, comfort and advice to those in the area with breast cancer. This is how communities are bulit - from one person's experience.
I'm delighted to have supported the Cotswold Breakthrough Breast Cancer Group has been so successful since its start in mid 2005. Anthea and I have supported it most recently with a fund raising party here on her birthday, the17th September.
